My Wedding

My wedding was just the best day. Like I didn't want to leave... even though we were leaving on a boat covered in fairy lights (yep, it was that awesome!)

What made the day magical wasn't the so-beautiful-it-made-me-cry flowers, nor the actual best tasting wedding cake ever or even my dream dress with an abundance of lace... it was the most perfect day because those beautiful flowers were crafter by the sweetest florist who added in so many extra special touches, because my wedding cake was made a church friend just out of love and because I found that perfect wedding dress alongside my dearest friends and lovely Mum.

Every part of our day was made special by our friends and families, it was a celebration of love, joy and family.

All our beautiful photos are from Sweet Photography - they were so kind & captured so many special moments for us.

Bride tip: Give your bridesmaids polaroid & instax cameras and let them capture all the little moments of the day for you.. I have a box full of candid, hilarious and cute instant wedding photos.

The lovely ladies at Dunn and Dusted did not only my hair and makeup, but also all of my four bridesmaids AND they had us all finished and feeling lovely right on time.

Okay, so now for the flowers... well. They were actually perfect.
Anyone who knows me has quickly learnt that I'm obsessed with flowers and to have my arms
overflowing with blooms all day was just the best.
The lovely girls at Little Willow  made all my flower-loving dreams come true with their natural, whimsical bouquets and sweet buttonholes.

Okay I just had to sneak in a little picture of the groom.. not only did he look this good but he rocked up to the ceremony on a fire engine with his workmates.

Wedding dress - Allure Bridals (via The Ivory Lounge) // Men's suits - RDX Charlestown

Bridesmaid dresses - For Her and for Him, who I would not recommend....however I would recommend having gorgeous and hilarious bridesmaids who don't care when their dresses arrived in completely the wrong colour....

Our whole bridal party was in fact fabulous, couldn't have asked for a better crew to share our day with !

So reception time, we had ours at The Anchorage, Port Stephens and we were lucky enough to score a beautiful sunny day in the very midst of winter.
Cake by our friend Rachael // Decorations by bridesmaids, Mum, Aunty and me // Flowers by Little Willow // Wedding signs by Rebecca Lee Creative // Place cards + guest gift by Wedding Honey  (fabulous people and fabulous honey!) My Dad made the boards for the centre of our tables and has since turned these boards into a gorgeous long table.

I'll be forever grateful to my lovely Mother in Law who sourced our giant balloons for us.... long after I'd given up on getting them.

Is any fairytale wedding complete without sparklers... ?

.... a lot of sparklers...

....and a magical exit on a fairy light covered boat...

& they lived happily ever after, forever and ever x
