Floral Typography Collage

This is a project I've been working on while I've been away in Austria. Once I'm home in Australia I am looking forward to taking it to the printers and making these available in my shop as postcards and prints. It's probably terrible business to post them so early, but honestly, I'm just in love with them (which is so rare to love your own work!) So I had to share them with you all.

I spent a lot of cold, rainy autumn evenings searching the internet for old botanical illustrations that fell under the creative commons licence, so that I could freely use them...

...Then it was rather a slow, headache-inducing process of editing out the background of each image (the originals were all scanned from old books with brown/yellow pages)...
