Black & White

I'm currently working on a custom request for a set of black & white watercolour feathers.
It's a little different to my usual colourful florals, but I'm really enjoying experimenting with the subtleness of different shades and using both ink and watercolours. I'm finding that I'm using my Pentel aqua brush more, it's currently filled with a mix of black ink and water. 

This greyscale colour work has also inspired me to paint little moons and planets.
I've been using a wet-on-wet technique 

Finally, no little painting exercise would be complete without working on my brush lettering, this little quote was inspired on hearing of my friend's engagement - a happy little heart indeed! x
